The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Gudlavalleru Engineering College conducted one week Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Applied Research in Electric Vehicle Technologies” during 15th to 20th June 2020 by Srujana Raghupatruni Patnaik, Chief Executive Officer, Cellerite Systems, Hyderabad. About 250 participants from various Engineering Colleges across India have been participated in this program.
The main objective of this program is to provide interaction and an opportunity to share view of academicians and practicing engineers. The aim of the FDP is to bring together experts working at the crossroads of Electric Vehicle Technologies to explore the challenges faced during control and operation of new generation Electrical systems. In particular, the main aim of the FDP is to elicit new connections among these diverse fields, identify tools, best practices & design principles. The FDP has covered selection of batteries, selection of electric motors for specific capacity vehicles, design of battery chargers with specific applications to electric vehicles etc. The FDP has also emphasized on the importance of designing controllers for various electrical problems.
